The golden ducks were given a chance to show what they can do, they'll be leading the clan in the next three months, while the current leaders will step back and watch, they'll be in charge of all decisions, questions that need to be answered, situations to be handled, new stuff to be implemented, accepting applications, etc.. will be done by them.
